Meet Apollo.
We were going to wait a few months before getting a new pupper, but a rescue my wife follows had two litters of pitbull pups that needed homes. He’s two months old and pretty beefy. He’s already made friends with our chickens and received a slap from our cat. He’s very chill and is only interested in cuddling. Have a pitbull
puppy mosh pit
to help lower your blood pressure.

I adopted my first rescued pit as a nineteen year-old in college. Everyone said I was nuts and it was a bad decision. Even had a landlord try to evict me (thankfully my State Farm renters insurance covered pits). I adopted another a few years later . Converted my whole family to pit lovers as they saw how wonderful these dogs are. They became great nannies for my kids, nieces and nephews over the years. After spending thirteen years with rescued pits and starting a family with them, I’m sold on these guys.

Sadly no pic but I just met a rescue dog today hiking through a state park that I’m pretty sure had some pit in her. A bit skittish but she seemed to like me.
I have yet to meet a dog breed I don’t like, unless you count Chihuahuas, which I don’t.

Awesome. A loving home is the best thing anyone, regardless species, can be given. Good on y’all.

Chihuahuas are the cats of the dog world. You really have to win them over. I call them Mexican pitbulls. A friend of mine has a very old chihuahua and she is the sweetest thing, but they do temd to be high strung. Here’s a neighborhood chihuahua watching out for its owners truck.

We did the same thing! Ten years later, still the best decision we've ve ever made.

Big ‘ol block head. That’s what I’m thinking this guy is gonna look like.
This is my second round with a pit rescue. I adopted my first two when I was in college and had them for about thirteen years. They transitioned with me from a student to a father, helping the entire time. They are wonderful animals.
